I started chatting in the Dimensions Feeder chat room in February 1999. I met many people there, most from the USA.
Here is a page with my closest online friends.

I met Carolyn Owens when she was asked to appear on the Dr. Joy Browne show in New York. She was allowed to invite me to appear there with her.
The recording of that show was at the end of June 1999, and we met for the first time..... on stage!! Needless to say, that was a really scary way to meet!
But at least the trip was all paid for, so even if we wouldn't like each other we would not have a big financial loss... but it went okay and our friendship continued :-)
I made a few photo's while waiting in my hotel room, Carolyn also made a page of it.
This show was aired on the 10th of January 2000..... right at the time that I was having a vacation with Carolyn :)

Here is another page of a meeting with Carolyn, this time I made a trip to Munich, Germany (last week of October 1999) by train to meet her and her sister Patricia for an appearance on the German talkshow Arabella. The show was broadcast on 30th November 1999, and with the help of a friend I taped it and even made a number of screen shots and 3 MPEG movies. Along with the translation of the show these can be seen on a page of Carolyn's.

NAAFA convention in San Diego

In the first week of August 2000 I went to the NAAFA convention in San Diego. It was my first convention, and I was hoping to meet many of the people of the chat rooms there.
I was lucky enough to meet several of them, but had some bad luck before arrival. Look at the Convention page to see the whole story.

I was a NAAFA member in 1995/1996, and renewed my membership before the Convention.

After the Convention I added 2 weeks to stay with Carolyn. In that period we went to Las Vegas for a few days with some of her family members. We stayed in the hotel of a small casino but none of us went home rich.... So maybe I'll have to come back some other time to try again!

April 2nd, 2001 was the first summer-like day in Spring in the Netherlands.
In the mean time I had bought me a second hand Olympus C2020 digital camera at an online auction. This was a good time to use it! Here are some spring pictures that I took on my way to work.

In May 2001 I had the opportunity to visit my brother for a week. He just got an apartment in one of the outskirts of Athens, Greece, where he was assigned to work for a half year. Of course I took my digital camera and took a lot of pictures ...... It became an 8 page journal!

Early September 2001 I took some pictures of a group of ducks and swans enjoying the canal and the grass, close to home. One of the bigger swans let out a sort of warning grunt to protect the others, when I came a bit closer.
A week later I went to London for a training. During that week the big disaster happened in New York and Washington DC. Afterwards I decided to combine the pictures with a text about the Strength of America which was sent to me in an email, and to call this the FREEDOM page.
